Andrew, Co-Founder and former Director of Sales at Tyro - one of Australia’s most successful FinTech firms, will be joining our team in May. Andrew Rothwell joins Data Republic as Chief Operating Officer

Data Republic is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Rothwell as Chief Operating Officer effective May 23rd. Andrew Rothwell, who co-founded Tyro Payments in 2003, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Data Republic with over 14 years’ at the leadership helm of Australia’s largest and most successful FinTech startup. Paul McCarney, Co-Founder and CEO of Data Republic, welcomed Mr Rothwell’s appointment:

“Andrew is an incredibly experienced and hands-on technology executive, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him as our Chief Operating Officer. The Data Republic ecosystem is growing fast and as we prepare to scale, Andrew’s proven experience navigating tech innovation and growth in highly regulated environments will be invaluable. As our Chief Operating Officer, Andrew will take a lead role managing platform traction and customer success as well as streamlining operational procedures. We’ve been looking for someone like Andrew for a while. There’s no doubt that he’s a brilliant operator but it was his passion for Australian tech and for the productivity potential of data that really excited me about bringing him on board.”

Speaking of the appointment, Mr Rothwell said:

Joining the team late May 2017, Andrew’s priorities as COO will be to:

  • Lead efforts around ecosystem traction and customer success
  • Consolidate operational procedures for scale
  • Further integrate customer facing and engineering teams
